What is in the picture.
Every poster is painted from a written brief. This is the one Miami Beach was drawn from.
- The view
- From the grass of Lummus Park looking east across Ocean Drive at the hotel fronts, ocean opening away to the right.
- The subject
- A three storey streamline Deco hotel in cream stucco, rounded corner, stacked eyebrow ledges over the windows, mint and coral banding, glass block bay.
- The light
- Late afternoon, sun low behind the viewer, raking west light throwing hard eyebrow shadows across the stucco.
- Behind it
- Simplified pastel row of neighbouring hotels stepping north, flat awnings and a ziggurat roof finial, colours knocked back to chalk.
- The distance
- Flat Atlantic horizon under open sky with a hazed sandbar line and one low freighter silhouette.
On a wall.
Mounted and framed, lit by each room’s own light.
The print itself.
Paper
250 gsm museum-quality matte, acid-free, with a light natural texture that suits flat colour.
Sizes
12 x 16", 18 x 24", 24 x 36", framed or unframed. The two smaller sizes are 3:4 and the largest is 2:3, so each is composed for its own shape rather than cropped from the other.
Printing
Produced to order by the press nearest the delivery address and shipped flat or framed. The artwork is upscaled before it goes to press, never generated large.
How it was made
A language model writes the composition brief and a diffusion model paints the artwork. The house style, palette, depth rules and typesetting are ours, applied the same way to every poster. The titles are never painted; they are composited afterwards as vector outlines.
